Roofing, Gypsum, and Insulation

Roofing

Moulton Lumber stocks Owens Corning and IKO shingles.  We carry three tab and architectural products from each manufacturer, and in a variety of colors.

IKO Cambridge (architectural) and Marathon (three tab) are both rated as 30 year shingles. 

Owens Corning Duration (architectural) are 30 year shingles.  Supreme (three tab) are only rated as 25 year.

Gypsum

Moulton Lumber stocks Georgia Pacific drywall products.  We stock 3/8" in 8' pieces.  1/2" we carry in 8, 10, and 12 foot pieces.  We only stock 5/8 fire code drywall in 8 foot sections.

In addition to regular drywall sheet goods, Moulton Lumber carries Densarmor (fiberglass coated gypsum) and MoldGuard.  These are for use in areas that get a little more damp than others, like bathrooms, laundry areas, and some kitchens.

Of course we also carry joint compund (in different weights and even a low dust version), various kinds of tape, metal and plastic corners, and all the tools you'd need to get a drywall job done.

Insulation

Insulation abounds at Moulton Lumber, and we stock a few varieties.  The most common is fiberglass, both faced and unfaced, but there are a few other types. 

One is an old technology, rock wool, and the product is called Roxul.  Higher R value (compared to fiberglass), water resistance, and flame retardant properties make it a viable alternative to insulating with fiberglass.

Moulton Lumber also carries rigid foam insulation (4x8 and 2x8 sheets) a couple different types of spray foam, and some types of loose attic insulation.
